Position and order of adjectives- Adjectives come before a noun or after the linking verb be:
She was wearing a red dress. Her dress was red.
- They can also come after these linking verbs: become, feel, get, look, seem, smell, taste:
He became angry. The food smelled delicious.
- These adjectives can only come before a noun: former, indoor, main, only, outdoor, previous:
the main road the former president
- These adjectives can only come after a linking verb: afraid, alive, alone, ashamed, asleep, awake, glad, ill, pleased, sorry, sure: He looked ill.
- After a linking verb, we use and to join adjectives. The order isn�t important:
The car was old and dirty / dirty and old. She was tired, angry and upset.
- When there is more than one adjective before a noun, we use them in this order:
